New Vila Olimpia

In 1988 Bueno Netto once again perceived an opportunity to contribute and invest in an area in need located in the southern region of the city of São Paulo, the today extremely valued Vila Olímpia district.

In undertaking several enterprises in the region, Bueno Netto contributed significantly towards the first drive that would change the district's characteristics forever.

Notwithstanding, the district still continued to suffer from several needs and a project foreseen by Public Government for the district's development had not yet begun.

Taking on the role of leadership, Bueno Netto took part in the founding of the NGO called "The Hive Movement", which had the ultimate goal of completely restructuring the district's urban scene, a real necessity, due to the changes provoked by the growing number of construction works taking place in the region.

Today Vila Olímpia is a new business concentrating center in São Paulo, with a great value potential and greatly benefited by the road construction works undertaken in recent years. In 2005, there were already 92 commercial condos built in the area. The following are achievements of the Reurbanizing Project undertaken by the Hive Movement.

The construction of 2 new avenues with wide sidewalks and underground technical galleries.

The removal of visual pollution: electric posts were eliminated, wiring went underground and the area received landscape reforesting plans.

Fiber optics infrastructure installation for speedy and efficient data transmission.

Services management: waste removal, safety, cleaning and community integration through the Internet.

Community security system: mobile video cameras installed on posts and interconnected through a broadband network to the Hive Movement Security Center.
